Luxury products are marketed and sold worldwide. In an era of increasing regulatory and consumer activism, who holds the power over the manufacturing, marketing and sale of these coveted luxury goods? The panel will address particular considerations applicable to luxury goods in light of changes in consumer protection and competition legislation, and increased product compliance oversight and scrutiny by federal regulators (including specifically by the Consumer Product Safety Commission in the United States). Participants will gain a better understanding into some of the challenges and opportunities that luxury brands face today, as well as strategies to safeguard brand integrity and support business success in a rapidly changing environment.
