There are seven categories for the Luxury Law New York Awards 2024. We are inviting nominations for individuals and organisations from luxury brands.

To submit a nomination for yourself, an individual, a team or organisation simply click on the Nominate Now button and complete the details.

Entry guidelines

The awards recognise achievements in the 12-month period up to and including August 2024, although it is understood that entries may touch on events prior to this date. For example, a case may have started before then. Equally, a case may not be complete, but a significant landmark may have been reached during the time period.

The Awards are free to nominate.

Luxury Leader of the Year

The winner of this award will be an individual who has combined creativity with business acumen. They will have demonstrated success in business with integrity and values core to this and contributed in other measurable ways including mentoring and a commitment to ESG values.

Corporate Counsel of the Year

The recipient of this award will be a corporate counsel who fulfils the dual role of business facilitator and guardian of their company’s brand. Alongside measurable evidence of success, the award seeks to recognise someone who displays leadership skills, including mentoring, and a commitment to ESG values.

General Counsel of the year

The recipient of this award is a general counsel who has had an exceptional year fulfilling the dual role of business facilitator and guardian of the company’s brand. They will demonstrate leadership skills, creativity and have proved the value of their department to the business in a demonstrable way.

Legal Department of the Year

The winner will be an in-house legal team which has proved its value to the business in a demonstrable way that exemplifies the team’s winning credentials. The award looks to recognise a team which stands out from the crowd and leads on a range of areas from legal expertise to collaboration and innovation as well as clearly contributing to the business.

Fashion Entrepreneur

This category sets out to identify an outstanding individual/s who has demonstrated entrepreneurial skills either in their own company or has contributed entrepreneurial skills to their employer brand. This can be through innovation, leadership, creative protection of the brand etc. We are looking for an individual who exmplifes leadership in the field and who has achieved tangible and entrepreneurial success.

Rising Star

This award is aimed at individuals who have demonstrated through their initiatives that they are the leaders of the future in the luxury sector. This category is looking to identify a rising talent who has demonstrated the ability to add real value to the luxury business sector.

Fashion Counsel of the Year

This category sets out to identify a fashion counsel who has had an exceptional year delivering value for their brand, fulfilling the dual role of business facilitator and guardian of their company’s brand. The submission should focus on examples which exemplify the individual’s contribution to the business. The judges will be looking for evidence of legal expertise, team working, initiative leadership and a commitment to ESG values.

Sustainability Innovator of the Year

This award goes to a leader in luxury who has created an innovative product or service which makes a significant contribution to sustainability in the luxury marketplace. The judges are looking for an innovator who has contributed to the greater good of luxury, led the way in innovative thinking and displayed a commitment to the core values of the sector.

Lifetime Achievement Award

This award will go to an individual who has, during the course of their career, made an outstanding contribution to the development of luxury, to the protection of the luxury brands and to the growth of successful businesses in the luxury sector.
