David joined JLR as Global General Counsel in September 2022. David leads a team of 130, supporting the Range Rover, Defender, Discovery and Jaguar brands.

Prior to joining JLR, David spent 14 years at Diageo, latterly as General Counsel, M&A, IP and Antitrust, and from 2015, he was a member of Tesco's UK & ROI leadership team and led the legal teams supporting Tesco's UK and Ireland businesses.

David has also lived and worked in North America for two periods – most recently 2011-2013 – while leading the legal teams supporting Diageo's beers, wines and spirits businesses in the US.
