Julia Hemmings is a Partner in Baker McKenzie's London Commercial & Tech Team. Julia co-leads the Digital Commerce, Advertising and Marketing Practice, advising on a broad range of matters including consumer protection, e-commerce and platform regulation. Julia regularly provides strategic advice to multi-national companies on UK/EU rollouts of both online and retail consumer sales channels, advising on the evolving legislative framework for consumer protection, marketing/advertising, sales promotions and platform regulation. Julia assists clients with ASA, CMA and EU CPC regulatory investigations, including the enforcement of consumer protection laws in green claims, subscriptions, fake reviews and the use of generative AI.
