Deborah McNamara
Adjunct Professor of Law

Deborah McNamara has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at New York Law School for over a decade, teaching numerous Fashion Law courses. Prior to NYLS, she was an Adjunct Professor at Parsons The New School, teaching courses in Fashion Law and Avant-Garde Design. As a practitioner, Deborah has advised clients across all areas of luxury on legal, compliance and business matters – working at the firms of Sherman & Sterling, then Thelen Reid & Priest in NY focusing on IP matters, as a solo practitioner, as well as in-house in the industry. Deborah holds a JD from American University Washington College of Law, a BA in Political Science/Economics from the University of Illinois, and a degree in Fashion Design from Parsons The New School, New York.
