John Richards is Global Chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Retail Industry Practice, ranked Band 1 by Chambers USA every year since 2007. An established player in the retail industry, John represents iconic brands in addressing legal, business, and operational needs across borders and practices, including designing and implementing compliance programs, responding to enforcement actions, and managing litigation. He also serves as Co-Chair of GT’s Global Labor & Employment Practice, where he drives client partnerships to manage employment/HR compliance and employment-related litigation. John earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and his B.S. summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University.
