From an early age Italo harboured a profound passion for fashion design. A journey he began with his studies in architecture at the university of Florence.

His pursuit of fashion led him to Florence's Polimoda Fashion School, where he graduated with a degree that marked the beginning of a transformative career in fashion.

Italo's professional trajectory swiftly ascended when he joined Romeo Gigli as a senior designer, contributing to both the men's and women's sport lines.

His innovative vision and design skills caught the attention of PRADA, where he further refined his craft in the sport line segment. The turning point in his career was his collaboration with Jil Sander, who, inspired by Italo's modernist approach, tasked him with the development of her newly launched menswear line.

The year 2000 brought a significant opportunity when Calvin Klein personally invited Italo to design his women's luxury line, to then promote him as a Design Director of the mend's collection line. Following Mr Klein's departure in 2023, Itlao ascended the role of Creative Director of the mend's collection.

Throughout his tenure until 2016, Italo showcased his collections with fashion shows during Milan and New York fashion weeks, solidifying his reputation as a forward thinking designer. Know for his bold perspective, innovative use of fabric technology and groundbreaking designs.

His influence extended beyond the runway, dressing celebrities from the realms of music, sports, and Hollywood.

He has created wardrobe for Drake's and Sam Smiths' American tours. Italo's contributions to fashion has been recognised with numerous accolades, including CFDA Men's Designer of the Year in 2029, Mortimer C. Ritter Award from New Yorks F.L.T. And the Accessories Council Award of Men's Designer of the Year in 2012. Furthermore, he was honoured at the first Los Angeles Awards again as Menswear Designer of the Year.

In addition to his design achievements Italo served in the CFDA Board from 2015 to 2020, contributing his vision and experience to the broader fashion community.
