Sarah Atkinson

Sarah Atkinson is a corporate partner and primarily a transactional lawyer. She advises clients on a variety of corporate matters and has significant experience in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and general corporate advisory/commercial work.
Ms. Atkinson represents clients across a range of industry sectors, including fashion, retail and luxury brands; hotels; life sciences and healthcare; industrials; and energy and natural resources including renewable energy.
Ms. Atkinson is individually recognised as a notable practitioner in Retail by Chambers UK 2016 and has been recommended by the Legal 500 UK for M&A (Upper Mid-Market and Premium Deals).
Prior to joining Bryan Cave, Ms. Atkinson headed up the fashion and luxury brands practice at another global law firm.
Representative Experience
Ms. Atkinson’s experience includes:
- Advised Labelux GmbH on the acquisition of Jimmy Choo from private equity house TowerBrook Capital Partners.
- Advised Jimmy Choo on general corporate matters.
- Advised a U.S. private equity firm on the disposal of the Mumm and Perrier-Jouët champagne businesses.
- Advised Estée Lauder on the acquisition of the Jo Malone perfume business and related commercial agreements.
- Advised Allders plc on the sale of its duty free business to Swissair.
- Advised YSL on the acquisition of a stake in its Gulf business through a joint venture with Al Tayer Group.
- Advised Stella McCartney in relation to a joint venture with Gucci.
- Advised Xupes Limited, an online retailer of pre-owned luxury goods, in relation to the first round of funding into the company.
