Professor Valerio Sanguigni

Valerio Sanguigni, after graduating in Medicine from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and specializing at the same University in Cardiology, both with honors, won the competition for University Researcher  at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata,” where today he is Aggregate Professor of the Faculty of Medicine.

He was Italian EMA Expert (European Medicines Agency) and in December 2009, he was awarded the Knight of the Republic by the President of the Republic, and in December 2013, Officer of the Republic.

In 2018, he was granted the special O-1 visa by the US government, which is awarded to people with extraordinary scientific skills.

He is the author of numerous publications in the main international scientific journals, related to cardiovascular diseases and aging. As an enthusiast and scholar of longevity, he began to follow the innovative research strand of superfoods and their role in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and in the improvement of physical performance, publishing a book on the potential effect of superfoods on longevity. He developed, for the first time, a selected natural blend of foods with high antioxidant power, thanks to their high polyphenol content, disseminated thanks to a published scientific study and registered as a patent.
