Katherine is a legal Director at DLA Piper and advises employers across all sectors, with a particular focus on retail, hospitality and leisure.
For almost 6 years, Katherine worked in-house; initially working in an EMEA role for a global telecoms company and then in a UK role for a major global brand. Therefore she fully understands the challenges faced by in-house legal teams as they strive to meet the needs of the business and the ever increasing compliance burden.
After moving back into private practice in March 2013, Katherine currently advises employers across both domestic and international employment and labour law matters and data protection. Katherine is experienced across all types of employment work, from litigation to transactional support; including international project management. She is regularly called upon to provide strategic and commercially aligned advice, assisting clients to achieve their objectives and manage risk. Moreover, Katherine is also an experienced trainer and has provided numerous training sessions to HR directors and in-house legal teams to assist them in developing and implementing a GDPR compliance programme for their organisations.
