Eric Decouvelaere is the Chief Operating Officer of Europe’s leading designer outlet group, McArthurGlen, where he has worked since 2005. Prior to his appointment as COO in 2015, he was McArthurGlen’s Managing Director, Southern Europe. In this role, he was responsible for the performance of McArthurGlen’s operations in Italy – where the group has five centres including Serravalle and Noventa – as well as in Belgium, France and Greece. Before joining McArthurGlen, Mr. Decouvelaere served as Strategy and Business Development Director at Harrods department store. Before that he was Deputy Buying and Merchandising Director for Printemps, the major French department store chain, where he led a reorganisation of the Buying and Merchandising Division. In the late 1990s, as Buying Director for Dormeuil, an iconic institution known for its collection of luxury fabrics and ready-to-wear suits, Mr. Decouvelaere launched a bespoke concept range of men’s suits.
