Derek Morales

Derek is an intellectual property attorney with broad experience in the fashion industry. He currently serves as Senior Director, Intellectual Property Counsel at Ralph Lauren Corporation, where he is responsible for protecting, enforcing, and defending the company’s IP rights for brands including RALPH LAUREN, POLO, CHAPS and CLUB MONACO. Derek previously served as Intellectual Property Counsel at Tapestry, Inc., where he was responsible for licensing and talent agreements as well as design clearance for brands including COACH, KATE SPADE and STUART WEITZMAN. Prior to his in-house roles, Derek spent several years in private practice at Dentons and Donovan & Yee, managing IP portfolios and advising clients in creative industries. Derek is a proud alumnus of Fordham Law School and its Fashion Law Institute.
