There are ten categories for the Luxury Law Awards 2018.

We are inviting nominations and entries for individuals and organisations for consideration by our Jury and the Luxury Law team.

These entries will be judged by our Advisory Board who will be looking for evidence of best practice between 1 January 2017 and 28 February 2018.

Luxury Business Rising Star – Young In-House Lawyer of the Year

This category is uniquely open for entry to an in-house individual– please help us to identify a rising talent in the world of luxury law by nominating a colleague who, at the start of their career, has already demonstrated the ability to add real value to the luxury business sector.


Luxury Business In-House Legal Team of the Year
Sponsored by: Zwicky Windlin & Partner

We invite entries from in house legal teams who are able to demonstrate how they have met the challenges facing their business and provided a substantial and measurable contribution to their company’s success over the past year (from 1 January 2017 and 28 February 2018). Our Advisory Board will be interested to read about particular issues and the approach taken to over come these, about how the in house legal team has worked with their colleagues in the business to develop new opportunities and how the business leadership team has acknowledged their contribution.


Luxury Business In-House General Counsel of the Year

We invite nominations from in house legal teams for the General Counsel who has demonstrated leadership and a strong contribution to business success (from 1 January 2017 and 28 February 2018). Our Advisory Board will be looking for a winner in this category who has not only delivered team leadership but also leadership for the luxury sector.


Luxury Law Firm of the Year

We invite entries from Law Firms with a luxury sector practice who are able to demonstrate the effective contribution they are making to their clients’ business, through innovations in the services they provide and/or leadership over industry issues.


Luxury Deal of the Year
Sponsored by: Hogan Lovells International LLP

Entries for this award should focus on a deal which is significant in the luxury marketplace, explaining why it is important. They should summarise the deal’s key features, why it is significant and outline what the team’s role was. Of interest to the judges will be legal expertise and innovation, how the project was managed and how the team worked together on the project. Please describe the deal, which members of your team was involved and what the key points of interest were.


Luxury Sustainability 2018

This award will go to the company that can best demonstrate an outstanding commitment to sustainability, particularly demonstrating projects that positively impact on society and the environment and where the organisation has not only changed behaviour internally but is also helping to change behaviour among customers and suppliers.

Luxury Business Leader 2018

Nominations will be made for the CEO, Designer or Director of a luxury business who, in the past year, has delivered growth for their brands and / or implemented a business development strategy that is innovative and proving effective.


Luxury Entrepreneur 2018
Sponsored by: McCarthy Tetrault

Nominations will be made for the designer or business owner how has demonstrated entrepreneurial vision in the launch of new brands or products, and/or in the development of new markets, taking the business to the next level.


Luxury Lifetime Achievement Award
Sponsored by TaylorWessing

Our Advisory Board will be asked to nominate an individual who has, during the course of their business, made a substantial contribution to the development of luxury business, to the protection of luxury brands and the growth of a successful business in the luxury sector. The Lifetime Achievement Award is the most prestigious award to an individual who has an established history of distinguished service, exhibited leadership and provided inspiration to others in the sector and positively influenced luxury and retail on a national or international level. The nomination will go to a person judged to have reached a pinnacle of luxury business.


Luxury Sustainability 2018

Nominations will be made for new businesses in the luxury sector [no older than five years], which have demonstrated a clear vision and carved a new place in the marketplace for their brand, products and/or services.
