Mags Byrne is a dual qualified Lawyer, previously shortlisted for In-House Lawyer of the Year by the English Law Society.  She has held CEO/Director roles for various governing bodies and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Science by Ulster University for her commitment to Sport. Mags was listed amongst Business For Sport’s 50 women of influence in Irish Sport.  Mags has won Entrepreneur of the Year at the Luxury Law Summit for 2022. 

Mags formed the company EStars with an aim to professionalise esports and ensuring esports was accessible for all.  EStars started its journey by holding 83 live, prestigious events.  Today, EStars provides an all-encompassing service to education bodies.   EStars developed the “Esports Club” an online platform, recognised by GESS 2022 as winners of the “best product to promote wellbeing in the classroom”.  EStars have specialist teams to design educational esports rooms, to create bespoke esports online platforms, to host formal educational esport qualifications, arrange live events and to assist with teacher training and development.  EStars also deliver (Pearson accredited) International BTEC in Esport qualifications to school groups globally.
