Libby Mitford Ferguson

Libby Ferguson is the co-founder of Edenfells, a boutique strategic advisory partnership in London creates new business opportunities in frontier markets for UK and European clients as well as advising Sovereign Governments, corporations and international organizations in Africa, Middle East, Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Educated at Cambridge University and called to the Bar in 1992 as a Levitt Scholar, her career spans 25 years across diverse disciplines, initially as a barrister and thereafter General Counsel for a leading US law firm in London specializing in commercial and intellectual property law.

Libby has a successful and sustained track record advising distinguished individuals and UHNW families, helping them develop their commercial interests in the UK, particularly in relation to brand acquisition opportunities, investing in UK technologies and in commercial real estate with a focus on London hotels. She enjoys ‘taking good ideas and making them great’. Latterly Libby has taken up an advisory role for a UK fintech company that is working in Africa, and is in the exciting early stages of creating a new health drink for women.

Libby has served as a trustee and fund raiser for children’s projects in Zambia and Southern Africa and on the Committee of the Brain Tumour Research Campaign, a UK charity that is close to her heart.
